Hello
When looking at the results in vista, the conduction gain – external wall is positive during the winter months and just becomes negative during the summer months. This makes no sense to me, since the conduction gain – roof is the right way.
Does anyone know why the conduction gain is positive for the wall?
Kind Regards

Conduction gain - external wall
Re: Conduction gain - external wall
Hi,
It's hard to say what is happening here but take a look at the conditions within the building during summer and winter months and this may explain the effect you see (perhaps you have high internal gains in Summer?). The difference between the roof and external walls is most likely due to the differences in the Constructions used, perhaps the thermal mass varies between these and you are seeing some effects from heat storage?
If you are still not convinced you may be able to pass the model on to Support and have them explain the results.
